- Opening Ritual
- Mood Check
Activity 1 (20 mins)
Mentors: Wellness Toolkit: Students build a personalized toolkit that includes strategies for managing stress, staying connected, and maintaining joy.
- MENTORS: provide more insight on some practices you have in your toolkit. That way students will have a better understanding
Activity 2 (30 mins)
Teacher: Summer Intentions Cards: Students write 2–3 commitments to themselves for the summer; personal, social, or academic.
- Invite students to reflect on what they need and hope for this summer personally, socially, and academically. Encourage a balance of rest, growth, and connection, reminding them that intentions can be small steps or big goals. Provide prompts like: “This summer, I want to…” or “I will care for myself by…”
Let students know these cards are personal commitments for them, by them. Offer time for quiet writing, and give the option to share one intention aloud or post anonymously on a class board to inspire others.
Closing Huddle – 5 Mins
- End by collectively performing your exit ritual!
- Remind students of the next session!
