Ensure students their post-secondary pathway options.

Opening Huddle - 15 mins

Feel free to play music to generate energy and set the vibe!

Activity 1 – 20 Mins

Mentors: Now that we’ve explored all the pathway options, let’s play a game to test your knowledge. 

  • Select 4 volunteers and have them step out of the classroom. 
  • Give each student a notecard and inform them not to share it with others.
  • Give the students 5 minutes to memorize the words on their card. 
  • Without informing the class of their pathway, allow each student 3-5 minutes to act out, draw, and/or describe the words on their card as the class tries to guess the words.

Activity 2 – 20 Mins

Teacher: Use this time to allow students to share or ask questions.

  1. Did revisiting the pathway options make you consider another pathway?
  2. Did any new goals and/or thoughts come up while doing the activity?
  3. Have you shared your pathway with your support system?
  4. What is the next step on your pathway?
    1. Are you on track to make it to the next step? Why or why not?
  5. How does the next step differ from where you currently are?

*Note: This can be discussion based and/or you can have students write down their answers to some of the questions.

Closing Huddle – 5 Mins

  • End by collectively performing your exit ritual! 
  • Remind students of the next session!
